Catalytic is a 3 session prayer training workshop designed to equip yourself and your leaders with vision and practical steps to start a movement of prayer discipleship in your church to advance Christ’s message and mission in your world.

PRAYER PRACTICE: We won’t exhaust you with a firehose of information. We design experiential learning so that half our time is spent in creative prayer engagement and interactive, immediate application. Learn to use proven resources to disciple your people in strategic kingdom prayer.

ACTIVE CO-PARTICIPATION: We won’t overload you with talking heads, where you’re passively consuming information as spectators. Contribute your experience in small group interaction and peer coaching with leaders who are building the kingdom of Jesus in the trenches just like you.

1. Gather in person

Recruit and gather in person with the leaders you want to train to be your prayer leaders/lieutenants.

 

2. Connect with training online

Prayer Current will facilitate the workshop online in real time, guiding multiple teams meeting in satellite locations.

 

3. Practice with your team

Your team will practice the prayer training exercises together during breakout sessions.

You will also get to pray with leaders in other cities, as they gather in their satellite locations (during large main sessions).

Do I have to bring 3 people from my ministry?

Yes, a minimum number of 3 people per satellite location is required to experience the most beneficial results from this training and to translate it effectively into your ministry. In our extensive training experience around the world for 20 years, we have seen very rare instances of lasting effects when only one leader comes.

Further, your team will practice the prayer training exercises during breakout sessions, so your experience with the training will fall short if you are completely on your own.

If you believe an exception should be made, do talk to us so we can find out more about your ministry context and prayer needs. If this is something God is strongly compelling you to do, we want to hear more about that.

I am already praying on my own. Why would I consider this?

While this training will undoubtedly bring you spiritual refreshment personally, our outcome is far greater than our individual contemplative prayer life. Our training is proven in helping churches develop a corporate kingdom focused prayer life that leads to heart and city transformation and fruitfulness in evangelism. This is about building a corporate vision and practice of prayer, so that you can build a whole culture of prayer discipleship and evangelism.

It’s not uncommon for individuals to struggle with prayer on their own. If you’ve been given a gift of a deep and rich personal prayer life, this training will equip you to lead others into a powerful life of prayer.

I don’t know if I have time for this right now.

We know there are many demands for your valuable time. This is not an extra program to add on to your existing already-full load. You will leave with doable, practical ways to integrate prayer into your existing ministry. Investing in prayer will bring renewal and power to your life and ministry.

As followers of Jesus, looking at how he spent his time on earth is a great point of reflection. Jesus didn’t leave a praying life to be busy, He left a busy life to pray. If you need to be convinced, then maybe it’s not the right time for you right now. We encourage you to pray and ask Jesus what his invitation to you is for this season. What is the time commitment on this? Can I come for only some of the sessions?

  • We require you to attend all 2.5 hour sessions live in real time, for 3 weeks.

  • While you will have time during the sessions to begin praying and planning with your team, you will need to meet with your team once a week on your own time for follow up homework. (You may choose to meet immediately before or following the large group training sessions if it makes the logistics of gathering easier.)

What is the investment?
